Worn on the upper right hand side of the body, they should include your first & last names and your company, title or industry. Think of these as ice breakers....they will give people a reason to speak with you and learn more about what you do. Consider your audience--and update your name badge when appropriate. (For example, CPAs don't need to put CPA on their name badge during a CPA industry event. Rather, putting "audit" or "tax" instead will offer a better ice breaker. Conversely, if the CPA is attending a Chamber of Commerce event, putting "CPA" on your badge will tell everyone what you do immediately!
